Impulseo
Impulseo is a package intended to make it easier for GPs to set themselves up in individual or collective practices after 01 July 2006.. Impulseo is for GPs that have been licensed for a maximum of four years or who have returned from a developing country within the last four years. It contains three parts:
1. Impulsion Fund financing for general medicine. This financing results from an initiative included in the 2006/2007 Medico-Mutualist Agreement, negotiated within the National Sickness and Disablement Insurance Institute (INAMI). An annual budget is devoted to it in the healthcare sector.The Impulsion Fund financing consists of:
- A loan of €15,000 for financing an initial licensed GP installation
- A bonus of €20,000 for new installations in certain areas where there is a dearth of GPs.
You can obtain the loan and the bonus separately, or you can accumulate them. The Promotion Fund’s loan and bonus for general medicine are available for all GPs, whether salaried of self-employed.
2. A Participation Fund financing:
- A loan of at most €30,000, granted in addition to the Promotion Fund’s intervention for general medicine. You can obtain the Participation Fund’s loan if you set yourself up as a self-employed GP.
3. Free support and guidance from a specialist mentoring structure.
